While Formentera doesn’t have an airport, getting there is easy! The closest airport is in Ibiza, and from there, you can hop on a ferry to reach the stunning shores of Formentera.
Luckily, Ibiza Airport is well-connected, with numerous charter and scheduled flights from many European cities.

Transfer between Ibiza and Formentera
The journey from Ibiza airport to your property in Formentera is quick and easy, this consists of:
- A taxi or bus journey from Ibiza airport to Ibiza Old Town ferry harbour – 15 or 30 minutes. This costs approximately 18 euros in a taxi or €3.50 per person on the bus.
- A ferry crossing with any of the companies that operate – 35 minutes. This is approximately €29 one way for adults and €19 for children. Please check our blog post on ferry services and ferry timetables for more information.
- A taxi ride from Formentera harbour La Savina to your accommodation – approximately 15 to 20 minutes depending on the location of your accommodation. This costs between €15 to €25.

You will arrive at the port of La Savina in Formentera by ferry. A taxi rank is conveniently located near the ferry terminal, and there is also a regular bus service. You can obtain a bus timetable from the tourist office at the port.
